Our team’s last event of the year, Prologue Cyclocross, wrapped up on Sunday. The event was a big success with a great turnout, great weather, and a beautiful setting for a cross race.
While several team members are busy putting on the event, a few others were able to saddle up and hit the course during the 2-day event. The team took a total of 3 podium spots over the course of the weekend.
Mark DeBoer, targeting the single speed category for this year’s Kansas Best CX Racer, killed it out on course both days with two podium spots, 2nd and 3rd, finishing consistently at the top of the field!
Doug Stone has been training hard for this year’s cross season. He raced the 1/2/3 race both days and finished right in the mix, at the front of the field in both races. On Saturday, Doug finished 3rd, taken his first podium of the season. Doug took 4th in Sunday’s race against a stacked field and some tough racing and some added technical sections.
Despite spending 3 days setting up and assisting in running the event, Erik Riker jumped into the racing action both days as well. Erik managed 16th and 22nd, a great showing considering the amount of work he put into the event over the course of 3 days.
Matt Rivard jumped into his first cross race on Saturday. He brought out his mountain bike and flat pedals to give it a try and finished very strong!
Thanks to all of our great partners who have supported the team and our racing, club, and community efforts over the years!
